On 16 May 2013, 6.40am, I finally touched down at Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport after more than 24 hours journey from Australia. It was very smooth at the immigration and I didn't have to wait long for my luggage too. However, I have waited for approximately 1 hour for the airport transfer to pick me up due to miscommunication. It took another hour to reach my hotel which was located at Latin Quarter. After leaving my luggage at the hotel, I made my way to the Notre-Dame Cathedral. The French Gothic architecture of this Cathedral was truly amazing, one has to see it to believe it.

After lunch, I decided to stroll along the Seine river. However, it started to pour heavily and therefore I decided to go to Louvre Museum. The sheer size of the museum is overwhelming as it has all kind of displays such as sculptures, paintings, Islamic Art, Egyptian antiquities, Greek, Etruscan, and Roman antiquities. As I had done my research on the museum and knowing what areas to focus on, I have saved a lot of time wondering around.

After Louvre Museum, I decided to have an early night. Therefore, I went to Gladine Cafe-Bar a Vines, a restaurant next to my hotel for dinner.
