Turkey - 25 May 2013 @ Bursa

This morning we took a ferry from Istanbul Yenikapi ferry terminal to Bursa. Thereafter, we took a bus into the city centre. The whole journey took approximately 3 hours. We were staying at the Artic Hotel which was conveniently located in the city centre. It was within walking distance to all the sightseeings in Bursa including the Bazaars of Busar and Koza Han, a location where silk merchants met for centuries.

The Bursa Grand Mosque is a landmark of the early Ottomon architecture. It has 20 domes and 2 minerats.

I had Iskendar kebab for lunch. It tastes so good especially when one is hungry! I just love it!

This is our pre-dinner entertainment, listening to some folks singing and playing the turkish guitar.

We had our dinner at a local family home. We were served three-course meals as shown in the photos below. The experience was just sensational. This was definitely not something that I would be able to experience had I not been with a guided tour.

We were being served tea and snacks while waiting to see the Sema performance at a Dervish Lodge. It was a really long wait and it's definitely worth it. We have waited for at least 3 hours to see the performance. By the time we got in, it was almost 11.30pm. The music was so soothing that I even fell asleep and didn't manage to capture any photos on the dervish whirling.
