Today, we visited the ancient city of Ephesus which was once an ancient Greek city and later on it became a Roman city.
The sheer scale of the site is just breathtaking. Almost as astonishing as the site itself is that only 20% of the ancient city has been excavated so far. I just couldn't imagine during the Roman era, Ephesus had a population of 250,000 in the 1st century B.C.

After all the sightseeings, we had a chance to watch and learn from the local women preparing the Gozleme, a thin pastry made of hand-rolled dough, filled with toppings such as mince beef, chopped lamb, vegetables, cheese etc.

Another highlight of the trip was a visit to the leather shop. Apparently, Turkey is famous for its leather and its quality is second to none. The shop that I went to is as follow:
Baggio Rossini Leather Fashion
Selçuk Kuşadası Yolu Arvalya Mevkii
Selcuk, Turkey
In the evening, we headed to Sirince, a beautiful hill town located 8km from East of Selcuk. It was a Greek village left in tact in 1924. This region is famous for its olive oil, fruit wines and other natural products.
We had tested various kind of fruit wines namely, apple, blueberry, melon, Kiwi, cherry and etc at a local bottle shop.
After the wine testing, we had our dinner at Dimitros Restaurant which was located on a hilltop with great views of the village. I was indeed enjoying the good company, delicious food and immersed in soaking up the village feel atmosphere of the area.
